Hippogriff Natural History

"Hippogriffs, hippogryphs, griffons, griffins and gryphons - all majestic creatures that soar through the skies and strike fear into the hearts of man and beast alike. Mighty eagle beaks and vicious talons rend flesh from bone as this valiant creatures asserts its right to roam free.

Truly an honour to behold with ones own eyes. But what of its cousins?

For with the diversity of life and fantastical whims of myth such creatures are not the only bird-headed, mammal-bodied scions of legend! What of the noble Heron-cat, perfectly crafted for the acquisition of fish? Or the Penguin-golin, flightless yes, predominantly pottering around adorably yes, but with the powers to slide or roll through all of life's obstacles!
